A New King Is Crowned at Our 2nd Annual Hot Dog Eating Contest!

Seven hot dogs. Five minutes. One new champion.

The buns were ready. The hot dogs were hot. The competitors were hungry.

For five glorious minutes, absolutely nothing else mattered.

The 2nd Annual Conveyors & Equipment Hot Dog Eating Contest is officially in the books – and this year, a new Hot Dog King was crowned.

Before the clock started: plenty of confidence, plenty of hot dogs, and absolutely no idea what the next five minutes would bring.

The Defending Champion Returns

Coming into this year’s contest, Dustin Hall was the man to beat.

Dustin claimed the inaugural Conveyors & Equipment Hot Dog Eating Championship last year by putting away five hot dogs in five minutes. Naturally, the reigning champion returned in 2026 with the most important piece of championship equipment: the official hot-dog crown.

Five Minutes of Absolute Chaos

The rules were simple: eat as many hot dogs as possible in five minutes.

That sounds easy enough – right up until the clock starts.

Our competitors came in with different strategies. Some started fast. Some tried to pace themselves. Some went heavy on the condiments. And somewhere around hot dog number four, a few contestants appeared to begin reconsidering the decisions that brought them to this moment.

Five minutes is a very long time when you’re racing a plate full of hot dogs.

Luke Goodrich Raises the Bar

When the five-minute clock finally hit zero, Luke Goodrich had separated himself from the field.

Luke didn’t just win the championship. He smashed the previous winning mark of five and established a new company record.

For those keeping score at home, that’s a 40% increase in hot dog productivity. Around here, we’re always looking for continuous improvement – although we’re not entirely sure this is what management had in mind.

The Passing of the Crown

Once the final count was official, there was no debate. Like any great champion, Dustin knew what had to happen next.

The crown came off the reigning champ… and was passed to the new King.

From Five to Seven – The Bar Has Been Raised

2025 Champion: Dustin Hall – 5 hot dogs in 5 minutes.

2026 Champion: Luke Goodrich – 7 hot dogs in 5 minutes.

That seven-hot-dog performance is now the number everyone will be chasing when the contest returns next year.

More Than Hot Dogs

As ridiculous as a five-minute hot dog eating contest might be – and let’s be clear, it is pretty ridiculous – events like this are part of what makes our culture at Conveyors & Equipment special.

We take our work seriously. Every day, our team is helping customers solve problems, keep production moving, and find better ways to handle their material. But we also believe there’s value in stepping away for a few minutes, getting everyone together, laughing a little, and enjoying the people we work with.

Sometimes that means a company golf tournament. Sometimes it means firing up the grill. And apparently, sometimes it means gathering in the shop to see which coworker can eat an alarming number of hot dogs before a five-minute timer expires.

Two years in, we think it’s official: we have ourselves a tradition.

Who Will Challenge Luke in 2027?

Dustin Hall held the inaugural crown. Now Luke Goodrich has taken the title and raised the company record to seven.

Will Luke defend his championship next year? Will Dustin return to reclaim the crown? Or is there another hot-dog-eating phenom somewhere at Conveyors & Equipment ready to step forward and somehow put away eight?
